Fin Hall is the New Pitsligo-based poet and artistic organiser extraordinaire. He hosts Like A Blot From The Blue, a poetry and spoken-word event transcending the boundaries of the physical and digital, welcoming hundreds of creatives from across the globe. On stage, Fin performs with a beautiful sensitivity. He isn't afraid to broach upon themes of old age, hope, love, and loss but reserves a potent and fiery attitude against injustice. He is also a filmmaker, collaborative writer, and publisher. He has two solo collections, Once Upon A Time There Was, Now There Isn’t, published by Runcible Spoon, and Over 1800 Years In The Making, published by Like A Blot From The Blue. Fin is the International Beat Poet Laureate for Scotland.

Paul Richmond was awarded Beat Poet Laureate by the National Beat Poetry Foundation for MA 2017-2019, USA 2019-2020, & Lifetime in 2022. He performs nationally and internationally, solo and with “Do It Now.” Paul has eight books published; more info at www.humanerrorpublishing.com.

Event Housekeeping

1) This is an online event hosted via Zoom. The link to this event will be emailed to ticket holders and will be posted on the corresponding Facebook Page Event https://www.facebook.com/TheGloucestershirePoetrySociety on or shortly before the day of the event.
2) Please arrive 10 minutes early to help us to start on time - we aim to start at 7 pm or shortly after.
3) Please mute your mic during poetry readings/performances to enable everyone to enjoy the poet's work.
4) As a supportive space for poets, we allow attendees to clap each poet after they have finished as a show of appreciation.
5) A video recording will be made available on the Gloucestershire Poetry Society (GPS) YouTube Channel.
6) An audio recording and chat transcript will be made available on the GPS website.

Open Mic signup - 3-minute slot

1) Email craftycrows@gloucestershirepoetrysociety.co.uk to apply for an open mic slot.
2) Open mic slots become available from 30 days before the event.
3) Open mic slots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
4) A reserve list is held in case of cancellations.
5) If you have an open mic slot, please keep it within the 3 min allotted time. You may read 1-2 poems as long as they fit into your minutes.
6) Please be mindful of others and provide content warnings where necessary.
7) Your work will be classed as being published if shared during our events. This may affect submission opportunities for that work, so please only share work that you are happy to have published.

The society is run as a voluntary group by passionate poets. We rely on the goodwill and donations of our members and wider audience. Please spare a donation to help the society continue to run its events and bring people together in celebration of the written and spoken word.

I'm a creative guru, visionary artist and eco poet based in Gloucestershire UK.

I'm a creative coach helping passionate and ethical business owners to create sustainable businesses geared for a healthy work life balance and helping to break through blocks and regain or maintain focus. I use creativity as a key problem solving tool and motivator.

As an artist is create inspirational works of art for private and corporate clients, from full size wall graphics and installations for offices, conference areas and receptions, to cafe's and restaurants to health and wellbeing centres. Any wall or space can be transformed with large scale art, which is a key motivator for staff and can reduce work related stress. I also accept private commissions for paintings, sketches and illustrations.

As a published poet I write about the joys of nature and the human devastation of it. I also write poems for brands and businesses to engage their audiences in new and more thought provoking ways.
